Sister, Mary Lou, told this story recently, how our
 brother Richard received his nickname "Bing". 
 Early in his highschool career, he was asked to
 sing for the class. It soon became apparent that
 he did not sing well at this stage of his life. He
 quickly was awarded the nickname of Bing by his
 classmates. This was the name of the very popular
 singer of the day, Bing Crosby.

 Later in life, many did not know his first name
 was not Bing. He was called Bing by many family
 members as well.
 He was Richard to us most times.
